Regulatory Effects of Rotation of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis and Polygonatum kingianum on Soil Fungal Communities under Continuous Cropping of Panax notoginseng
Rotation is an effective way to cope with the continuous cropping obstacle(CCO)of medicinal plant Panax notoginseng(PN),however, the regulatory effects of different rotation modes on soil fungal communities are rarely reported. Here we analyzed the fungal communities in the rhizosphere soil of Paris polyphylla var.yunnanensis(PP)and Polygonatum kingianum(PK)after P.notoginseng cultivation using high-throughput sequencing technology;moreover, soil physicochemical properties and enzyme activities were tested, and compared with the rhizosphere soil of PN growing in new soil and continuous cropping soil. The re-sults showed that continuous cropping of PN resulted in a significant decrease in fungal diversity in the rhizo-sphere soil, and a significant increase of the relative abundance(RA)of potential pathogenic Plectosphaerella, which may lead to the CCO.Compared with PN under continuous cropping, fungal diversity in the rhizosphere of PP and PK was significantly increased, and the RA of Plectosphaerella decreased by 27.76%and 33.33%,respectively,however,the RA of potential beneficial Trichoderma increased by 433.06%and 2 353.32%,re-spectively;moreover,non-metric multidimensional scaling(NMDS)analysis indicated that soil fungal commu-nity in the rhizosphere of PK was more similar to the non-continuous cropping soil of PN,and phosphatase and sucrase activities in the rhizosphere of PK were significantly increased comparing to continuous cropping of PN.PP and PK show normal growth, which are less affected by the PN cultivation. Therefore, the rotation of PP and PK has a good regulatory effect on the soil fungal community under continuous cropping of PN,which is expected to become an effective measure to cope with the CCO of PN by shortening the rotation period,mo-reover,the improvement effect of PK rotation could be more effective comparing to the rotation of PP.
