Identification of Constitutive and Specific Expression Genes among Potato Tissues
Potatoes are important food crops, and tubers are not only the harvesting organs but also the reproductive organs of the main tetraploid varieties.Diploid hybrid breeding, which propagates through actual seeds, has gradually emerged in recent years. It has also become particularly important to study the development of flowers and fruits in potato. Therefore, identifying the constitutive expression genes of potatoes and the specific expression genes of flowers, fruits, and tubers are very important for studying potato gene function and genetic improvement. In this study,we analyzed the transcriptome data of different tissues(including flowers, tubers, roots, fruits, leaves, and stems)of diploid potato in-bred lines A6-26 and E4-63 to identify 12 constitutive expression genes. And genes specifically ex-pressed in flowers, fruits, and tubers were also screened, and their functional analysis were performed by GO analysis and KEGG enrichment analysis. This study will provide a basic theory for potato mo-lecular biology research and genetic improvement.
