Water is the source of life and the foundation of social and economic development.The water diversion project is a commonly used engineering method to solve the problem of regional water resource imbalance.The issue between water conservancy engineering construction and ecological environment protection has always been a focus of research in major water conservancy project construction.Based on the research of the construction of Nanyang Baihe inverted siphon and the protection measures of Fengshan ancient cypress in the middle route of the South to North Water Diversion Project,this paper elaborates on the significance of engineering construction and ecological protection measures implementation.
