Research on the Mix Ratio of Asphalt Concrete for Rolling Compaction of the Core Wall of a Reservoir in Xinjiang
As a 100 meter level roller compacted concrete core wall dam,the safe construction and operation of BMD Reservoir play a crucial role in the sustainable development of the basin's social and economic development.High asphalt core wall dams require high performance of asphalt concrete for the core wall, and it is necessary to fully consider the stress effects of asphalt concrete core walls at different heights.Through indoor experiments, two sets of asphalt concrete mix proportions for core walls were selected, with an oil stone ratio of 6.7%,a gradation index of 0.39,a filler content of 12%,and an oil stone ratio of 7.0%,a gradation index of 0.39,and a filler content of 13%.These mix proportions are suitable for the stress and deformation of the dam body, thereby optimizing the dam structure.Reasonable asphalt concrete mix ratio parameters for core walls can not only reduce testing workload, control construction costs, but also ensure the safe operation of the project.
