Layered Construction Technology of Concrete for the Top Arch of Large Scale Tailwater Head Transition Section
The maximum span and thickness of the top arch of the transition section at the head of the tailwater tunnel of Baihetan Hydropower Station can reach over 20 meters. The conventional A48 steel pipe full frame formwork system is no longer able to meet the construction requirements for such a large-span and thick top arch gradient structure. Therefore,in the construction of the transition section of the tail water head of Baihetan Hydropower Station,an innovative new type of support system combining"steel pipe bent column+full hall support frame"with high bearing capacity and strong adaptability to complex transition shapes was proposed,as well as a reasonable pouring layer method. It not only effectively shortens the construction period of this construction site, but also reserves a lower channel to ensure the continuity of upstream surge chamber construction, and has made a qualitative improvement in cost, quality, and safety management. This construction technology can basically adapt to all large-span,thick and gradually changing structures.
