Some homogeneous dam reservoirs have many safety issues that affect the normal operation of the reservoir after years of operation due to their outdated construction,outdated technology,and insufficient investment during construction.The safety assessment of homogeneous dam reservoirs often requires consideration of multiple factors.Taking Shangma Chaoqing Reservoir as an example,this paper uses a combination of numerical on-site investigation and numerical simulation to conduct safety assessment.The results indicate that there are problems with the anti-skid stability and water seepage prevention of the reservoir dam body,and reinforcement treatment is needed.The spillway and water conveyance culvert are in good condition and will not affect the safe operation of the reservoir.The analysis results can provide strong technical support for the specific implementation of dam reinforcement.
