Handling and Analysis of Tripping of 35 kV Grounding Transformer and Station Transformer Circuit Breaker in a Photovoltaic Power Station
Grounding transformer and station transformer are commonly used primary equipment in the power system. The main function of a grounding transformer is to artificially create a neutral point for connecting the grounding resistance. When a grounding fault occurs in the system,it can effectively present high impedance to positive and negative sequence currents, while presenting low impedance to zero sequence currents, ensuring reliable operation of grounding protection. The grounding transformer has the characteristics of long time and short time overload. It may remain idle for a long time, but in certain specific situations, such as system failures,it needs to be able to withstand short-term overloads to ensure system stability and safety. However, during use, various faults may occur in the grounding transformer and station transformer, affecting the normal operation of the power system. This paper proposes corresponding solutions by analyzing the handling and causes of faults in grounding transformers and station transformers in photovoltaic power plants. The aim is to exchange information on the maintenance and fault handling of grounding transformers and station transformers in photovoltaic power plants, and improve the level of on-site equipment operation and maintenance.
