Application and Comparison of Ultrasonic Flowmeter in Open Channel Experiment
With the development of water rights trading, the accuracy and intelligence of water measurement in irrigation areas are constantly increasing.Ultrasonic flow measurement,as an emerging measurement technology, has high accuracy and automation capabilities, and is widely used in flow measurement in irrigation areas. However, there is currently limited research on the comparison between ultrasonic methods and traditional flow meters in flow measurement in irrigation areas.By establishing ultrasonic open channel flow measurement experiments and using comparative analysis methods, this paper conducts observations and data analysis, and systematically compares the performance and reliability of ultrasonic method and traditional flow velocity meter in flow measurement in irrigation areas.According to the experiment, compared to increasing the water level, the relative error, maximum error, and root mean square error of ultrasonic flow measurement are smaller under normal water level conditions. From the perspective of slope ratio, the smaller the slope ratio, the smaller the calculation relative error and root mean square error. As the slope ratio and water level increase, the accuracy of ultrasonic flow meter measurement gradually decreases, but it is still within an acceptable range for engineering use. Therefore,it is recommended to choose an appropriate slope ratio for actual flow measurement.
