Safety and Stability Review and Reinforcement Safety Management Strategy for Urban Flood Control Embankments and Retaining Walls
Urban flood control embankments and retaining walls shoulder the heavy responsibility of flood control safety.Taking the reinforcement and treatment project of the first level flood interception channel retaining wall in Qingxin District as an example, the insufficient fullness of the masonry mortar in the retaining wall, the lack of foot protection on both sides, and the hollowing out of the joint mortar at the foot of the wall are prominent problems. This article conducts a structural and seepage safety and stability review of the embankment retaining wall, and finds that the current mortar masonry retaining wall's anti slip and anti overturning calculations do not meet the regulatory requirements. Therefore,it is proposed to build a new retaining wall on the right bank using C25 reinforced concrete gravity retaining wall, and a new C30 reinforced concrete cantilever retaining wall on the left bank to press the top, achieving safe and long-term stable operation of the flood control embankment retaining wall in the area.
