Methods for Price Adjustment in Hydropower Projects Caused by Price Fluctuations
Due to the professional characteristics of hydropower engineering,price adjustments caused by price fluctuations are inevitable.Price adjustment is an important part of cost management in engineering project contracts,and it is also one of the focuses of attention for both parties in the contract performance process.If the price adjustment method stipulated in the contract is not applicable or the agreed conditions are insufficient,it is easy to cause disputes,which will affect the smooth performance of the contract.According to the policy norms of relevant industries and continuous summarization in engineering practice,the price adjustment method for hydropower projects caused by price fluctuations is basically the price index method.This method has its unique advantages and is widely used.In the continuous application process in practice,the price index method can be further divided into single factor price index method and classification comprehensive index method,and the usage,calculation methods,and results of the two methods are significantly different.Based on the differences and connections between the two methods,as well as the characteristics of specific engineering projects,define the scope of selection for the two methods and how to apply them innovatively on this basis.
