The Impact of Government Transparency and Social Justice on Public Trust Levels in the Context of E-government
The level of public trust in the government has become one of the important indicators to measure the ability of governance capacity,and e-government has been proposed as a solution to diluting the crisis of government trust.Therefore,it is particularly important to analyze the impact of e-government on government trust in China and to explore the underlying mechanism.This paper focuses on the mediating role of government transparency and the regulatory mechanism of public sense of social justice in e-government's role in building government trust.Through the analysis of 2,629 questionnaire survey data,it is found that the use and promotion of e-government can effectively improve government transparency which has a positive effect on the improvement of the public's government trust level.The positive shaping effect of e-government on government trust is gradually emerging;the promotion effect of e-government on government trust is partly attributed to the increase of government transparency;as for the promotion effect of government transparency on government trust,the public's sense of social justice has a magnification effect.
