Discussion on the Measurement of Oil-water Interface in Offshore Oilfields
With the increasing amount of liquid produced in offshore oilfields, the dewatering effect of crude oil treatment process will directly affect the quality of crude oil exported, and the quality of production water reinjected downstream. In order to ensure the good dewatering effect of crude oil in the treatment process,it is necessary to accurately measure the oil-water interface of the three-phase separator and electric dehydrator in the treatment process. An improved method of oil-water interface measurement is proposed by analyzing the operation effect of the three-phase separator and the measure-ment of its oil-water interface,as well as the operation effect of the electric dehydrator and the mea-surement of its oil-water interface. After one year of field application, the oil-water interface can be accurately measured after the adjustment of the oil-water interface measurement method, the oil-water treatment effect is obviously improved, the operating current of the electric dehydrator is noticeably re-duced,and the oil content at the water phase outlet decreases from 250 mg/L to 120 mg/L.The stabili-ty of the system is improved, the influence of the fluctuation of the upstream fluid is remarkably re-duced,the production efficiency is improved, and the production cost is reduced.
