Research on Performance Evaluation Methods of Optical Fiber Early Warning System for Oil and Gas Pipelines
After more than ten years of development, the performance of optical fiber security early warning technology for oil and gas pipelines has been continuously improved. It has become an impor-tant means of pipeline technical defense. However, there is a lack of industry standards to regulate the technical indicators and their testing methods, and the declared indicators of various technology provid-ers are quite different, the purchasers are unable to evaluate the on-site application effect, which se-verely restricts the application and promotion of the technology. Therefore, the core technical indica-tors such as monitoring distance, sensitivity, and positioning accuracy are analyzed from the aspects of hardware constraints, software functions, and application effects, and a reasonable definition method is provided. At the same time,a theoretical analysis is made on the relevant restrictive conditions that af-fect the recognition function of the system, such as the false alarm rate and the alarm rate.Based on the principles of standardization and reproducibility, reliable indoor and outdoor testing methods have been provided for key indicators, and feasibility verification has been conducted on-site.Prospects for the widespread application of fiber optic security pre-warning technology are made.
