Research on Shutdown and Restart of a Shale Oil Pipeline in Changqing Oilfield
The shutdown and restart of oil pipeline is a complex engineering problem.In order to en-sure the operation safety of the shale oil pipeline in Changqing Oilfield,it is necessary to conduct re-search on pipeline shutdown and restart.This article uses SPS simulation software to calculate and ana-lyze the discharge pressure and inlet temperature of the oil pipeline during normal transportation condi-tions in four seasons according to the basic data of the shale oil pipeline and the oil properties of the shale oil.Meanwhile,the restart processes of pipelines under different shutdown times are simulated.Accord-ing to research findings,the shutdown time when the inlet oil temperature of the pipeline is 3℃higher than the crude oil pour point is determined as the safe shutdown time.Under the conditions of maxi-mum and minimum throughput,the safe shutdown time of the pipeline in winter and spring is 28 h and 3.5 h,respectively.The recommended restart pressure of the pipeline after shutdown is 6 MPa and 3 MPa,respectively.Based on the short safe shutdown time of the pipeline at the condition of lowest throughput,it is recommended to add coagulant treatment before shutdown to prolong the safe shut-down time of the pipeline.While the safe shutdown time in summer and autumn is greater than 100 h,the recommended restart pressure after pipeline shutdown is 5.5 MPa and 1.5 MPa,respectively.This research results provide a reference for the steady state operation and restart operation of the pipeline.
