Feasibility Analysis of RTP Pipe Application in Long-distance Oil and Gas Pipeline Engi-neering
The steel pipeline for oil and gas transmission is prone to corrosion, which affects the safety of pipeline operation. At the same time, the steel pipeline is heavy and difficult to transport in complex mountainous areas. In addition, the pipeline's deformation resistance should be considered when laying.Compared with steel pipes,RTP pipes have good corrosion resistance and flexibility, which can make up for the shortcomings of steel pipes. The research and engineering application of RTP pipe started ear-lier abroad, and has been applied in oilfield oil and gas transportation, gathering and distribution pipe-line projects. The RTP pipes used in domestic engineering applications are mainly small caliber.During the application process,it is necessary to further solve the problems of joint failure and pipe body fail-ure,and there is no application in the field of long-distance pipelines.Combined with the technical de-velopment and engineering application of RTP pipe, and the analysis of supporting standards,it is clear that RTP pipe is a potential application pipe material for oil and gas long-distance pipeline proj-ects,but the key problems such as small size, lack of supporting standards, high cost, and control fail-ure still need to be solved.
