Sedimentation and Deformation Control of Valve Chamber Pipeline Based on Stress Measurement and Simulation
Natural gas pipelines are the main mode of onshore natural gas transportation.During pipe-line operation, due to natural factors, uneven settlement occurs at the buried main pipeline and the support piers of the above ground bypass pipeline in the valve chamber station of the natural gas pipe-line,which can cause safety accidents. To ensure the safe operation of the pipeline,a simulation model is established for the pipeline in the valve chamber, and the distribution law of stress is analyzed. The axial stress of the pipeline is measured using ultrasonic stress non-destructive measurement technology.Based on the results of stress simulation and pipeline stress measurement, the location of stress concen-tration danger points is determined,a plan is developed for excavating the soil around the buried main pipeline to release stress, and strain gauges are used to measure the axial stress changes of the pipeline throughout the entire treatment process.By appropriately removing ground pipeline constraints and ad-justing the inclination of the bypass pipeline, the maximum stress of the bypass pipeline is reduced by 22 MPa.The results indicate that accurately grasping the stress distribution patterns of buried pipe-lines and bypass pipelines, and carrying out targeted stress release measures and stress evaluation methods are of great engineering value in ensuring the safe service of buried pipelines and bypass pipelines.
