Research on Downhole TV Technology Based on Multi-media Communication
Oil and water wells are shut down due to casing deformation and damage,resulting in a large number of downhole maintenance operations and thus increase in the operating costs of the enter-prise.In response to the needs of shallow oil and water well operations,a downhole television technol-ogy based on multi-media communication such as optical fiber and wireless WIFI has been proposed to determine the falling objects and casing deformation and damage in oil and water wells through visible light video survey,and assist in formulating reasonable operation measures.Through this downhole television system,video surveys can be conducted in oil and water well casings that are inaccessible to humans.The composite fiber optic cable connects the video front-end with the optical port of the mi-crofiber optic transceiver receiving end,the electrical port of the microfiber optic transceiver receiving end is connected to the wireless router,and integrated with the battery on the winding reel.The bat-tery provides power for the system,and the wireless router provides WIFI network to connect multiple portable computers,providing video access channels for portable computers.After on-site testing,the feasibility and practicality of the downhole television technology are confirmed,which can reduce the operation and maintenance costs of oil and water wells in enterprises,and has broad application pros-pects.
