Study on Displacement Causes and Laying Protection of Long-distance Pipelines in Soft Soil Areas
The laying protection of long-distance pipelines in soft soil areas is an important guarantee for safe operation.Through case analysis, combined with engineering investigation, excavation and drainage, and welding joint re-inspection,the characteristics of pipeline displacement and deformation in the soft soil areas are found.Based on the analysis of the causes of pipeline displacement and deformation, the hidden hazard control suggestions are put forward, and the key points of pipeline laying and protection in soft soil areas are summarized. The analysis results show that with the increase of soil moisture content, the soil on top of the pipe loses its stabilizing effect on the pipe, the fluid around the pipe changes into mud,the buoyancy force on the pipe increases, and the pipe floats up gradually in the section with insufficient local balance weight. The counterweight overload of the local pipeline causes pipeline settlement. The floating or settling pipelines swing in the plane due to the combined action of the third party overloading, tides, and soil constraints, and the distribution of the pipelines in space changes from smooth curve to broken line. The anti-floating and settlement calculation should be carried out for the pipeline laying in soft soil areas, and the load should be considered reasonably.Considering the two working conditions of anti-floating and settlement,it is suggested that the spiral ground anchor should be used to stabilize the pipe in a soft soil areas, and the corresponding technical indexes should be determined by field tests.
