Lamadian Gas Storage is China's first underground gas storage,and the world's only oil and gas storage facility developed simultaneously,which has been operating safely and smoothly for 48 years.It is currently facing two major problems:increasing safety risks year by year and difficulties in coordinated oil and gas development.In this paper,by analyzing the injection-production status of Lamadian Gas Storage over the years,starting from the aspects of gas reservoir tightness,oil-gas interface stability,reservoir injection-production adaptability,and wellbore safety status,combined with numerical simulation results,a technical scheme for optimizing operation,expanding capacity and tapping potential is proposed.11 coring data and thousands of logging data have been applied to reconstruct the geological model,4 multi-faceted integrated construction and operation technologies have been developed,29 gas wells have been standardized for treatment,3 wells have been supplemented and increased in production measures,and the operation time of gas injection has been optimized and improved by 45 days,achieving an annual increase in gas injection-production of 2 864×104 m3,increasing the reservoir capacity by 5 000×104 m3,and creating an annual economic benefit of 53.2 million yuan.
