Feasibility Evaluation of Mixed Gathering and Transportation of Produced Fluids in Multiple Layers of Yanchang Oilfield
Ground gathering and transportation engineering undertakes the transportation and treatment tasks of produced liquids from different layers.Due to the significant differences in the ion composition of produced liquids, especially the produced water, when the ions in produced water from different layers are immiscible, scaling will occur at the gathering and transportation stations. In severe cases,it can cause blockages in the gathering and transportation system, affecting the efficiency of produced water collection and transportation. In order to achieve the goal of mixed transportation of produced fluids from different layers, and to address the problems of low transportation rate, poor compatibility of produced fluids from different layers, and high transportation cost of produced fluids in a certain block of Yanchang Oilfield, ion composition analysis is conducted on the produced fluids from 5 layers of the block through indoor experiments. The scaling trend prediction software Oli-Scale Chem4.0 is used to predict the scaling trend of produced fluids from multiple layers. The results show that the produced liquid from the Yan 10 Layer contains high scaling anions HCO3-and SO42-,the produced liquid from the Chang 4+5,Chang 6,Chang 7,and Yan 9 Layers contains high scaling cations Ca2+,Mg2+,Ba2+,and Sr2+.When the produced liquid from the Yan 10 Layer is mixed with the produced liquid from other layers,it is easy to form carbonate and sulfate scales, block the gathering and transportation pipelines, reduce the gathering and transportation rate, and increase the production cost of the oilfield. It is recommended to separate the produced fluids from the Yan 10 Layer and other layers for transportation, and to mix the produced fluids from the Chang 4+5,Chang 6,Chang 7,and Yan 9 Layers for transportation. This research result can provide reference for improving the gathering and transportation rate and proposed engineering projects in western oil regions.
