Application of DNV Safeti Software in Quantitative Risk Analysis of High Consequence Area of Natural Gas Pipeline
Natural gas long-distance pipelines are the basic engineering facilities of gas pipeline engineering.The gas transmission medium,that is natural gas,is flammable and explosive substance.The high pressure property of pipeline is the main risks of jet fire,flash fire,and steam cloud explosion caused by natural gas leakage ignition.In this paper,the DNV Safeti software was used to quantitatively analyze the high consequence area of a gas pipeline.The impact distances of jet fire,flash fire,and steam cloud explosion as well as the personal risk contour and social risk curve were calculated.It could provid reference for the design and operation of construction projects.It could clarify the possible impact scope and consequences of high consequence areas for pipeline enterprises,and also take targeted management and technical measures in pipeline anti-corrosion management,disaster management,pipeline maintenance and security protection.Thus effective risks control was carried out to reduce the environment impact and public loss.
