Improved Research on Anchor Propeller in Oil Sludge Hydrothermal Reactor
The hydrothermal method for treating high-water-content oily sludge offers high dewatering efficiency and low energy consumption. This article studies the stirring propellers in the hydrothermal reactor unit of the hydrothermal method and proposes an improved anchor propeller.Using the single-phase flow and k-ε model in CFD-Fluent for simulation, this study compared and analyzed three modified stirring propellers with helical inclination angles of 90°,180°,270°.It was found that the anchor propeller with 90° helical inclination angle performed better in terms of axial circulation, power consumption, average shear rate, and dimensionless axial velocity compared to the other propellers. The overall mixing performance was optimal,as this propeller induced both circumferential and large axial circulation flows within the reactor. This greatly promoted the axial circulation of fluids in the stirring reactor, reducing the low-velocity flow region within the reactor by approximately 10%at the same rotational speed and reducing energy consumption by about 30%compared to conventional anchor propellers.
