Discussion on Environmental Risk Management and Emergency Response of Marine Pipelines from the Nord Stream Pipeline Accident
By examining the impact of the"Nord Stream"natural gas pipeline leak incident in Europe, this study analyzes the environmental risk prevention measures taken during the environmental assessment phase, construction, and operation of the pipeline. From the perspective of environmental risk impact and control,it compares the current status of environmental risk management of marine pipelines in China and discusses the importance and limitations of environmental risk management for marine natural gas pipelines.Based on the conclusions of the above discussion, this study provides references for the selection of marine pipeline methods and the joint environmental risk management of different marine blocks in the actual working conditions. It is suggested that marine pipelines in shallow water areas should adopt higher risk prevention measures, strengthen regional linkage, enhance the risk management of shallow water pipelines, and pay attention to the design of risk control measures in the early stages of the pipeline.
