Exploration of ESG Management in Oil and Gas Field Enterprises
ESG is an investment concept that focuses on environmental,social and governance performance rather than solely on financial performance,and its core concepts of"sustainable development"and"green and low-carbon"are highly aligned with China's strategic development goals.Taking the ESG performance improvement of Dagang Oilfield as an example,this paper systematically elaborates on the methodology of constructing an ESG system applicable to the oil and gas exploration and development industry and integrating ESG concepts into the whole process of company development from the aspects of ESG governance structure,ESG performance management and evaluation system,ESG long-lasting communication mechanism,ESG substantive issues,etc.It summarizes the key node methods and typical experience practices for ESG performance improvement,and actively takes actions and achieves obvious results on the identified major issues such as"energy transition"and"carbon emission management"to improve ESG performance,strongly promote the company to achieve sustainable and high-quality development,and provide ESG models for reference for oil and gas field enterprises.We will help more oil and gas field enterprises implement new development concepts and explore the establishment and improvement of ESG systems.
