Analysis of the Causes of Lightning Strikes on Automatic Weather Stations and Lightning Protection Measures
Automatic weather stations serve as an essential component of modern meteorological observations,and their safety and stability directly impact the accuracy and real-time nature of meteorological data.Lightning strikes can not only damage the electronic equipment of weather stations but can also lead to the interruption of data transmission,severely affecting weather forecasting and climate research.This article first provides an overview of automatic weather station technology and equipment,as well as the hazards and impacts of lightning on automatic weather stations.It then analyzes the reasons for lightning strikes on automatic weather stations and proposes a series of specific lightning protection measures for automatic weather stations.The aim is to reduce the impact of lightning strikes on automatic weather stations through these lightning protection measures and ensure the quality of meteorological observation data and the continuity of services.
