The necessity of mitigating global warming by reducing carbon dioxide emissions has led to an increase in the use of renewable energy. In urban areas, deploying solar photovoltaics on existing roofs is one of the most effective ways to achieve this.To this end, this aiticle analyzes and designs from aspects such as solar radiation models on inclined surfaces and component selection, resulting in a comprehensive design scheme.Through theoretical calculations and analysis, the emission reduction benefits of photovoltaic installation on carport roofs in a demonstration area are derived, providing theoretical support for subsequent roof photovoltaic design schemes.
