Research on Rated Current Values of Electric Actuators for IE-level Valves in Nuclear Power Plants
The IE-level valve electric actuator is an important safety equipment in nuclear power plants, which is closely related to nuclear safety. If the rated current value of the electric actuator is incorrect,it will lead to the mismatch between the upstream protection configuration and the actual operating current, posing a risk of valve malfunction. The motor of the valve electric actuator belongs to the short-time working system, which is different from the motor of the long-time working system. There are disputes about the rated current, and there are no relevant standards that clearly specify the appropriate current as the rated current. This article analyzes the characteristics of the electric actuator to determine the appropriate selection method for the rated current value. The electric actuator's current value is checked based on this method, providing important references for determining the rated current value of the electric actuator in subsequent nuclear power plants.
