Preparation of Pr-TiO2 nanocomposite catalyst using β-CD as template and its photocatalytic activity
Nanocomposite catalysts of TiO2 and Pr-TiO2 was prepared by sol-gel method using β-cyclo-dextrin (β-CD) as template.X-ray diffraction (XRD),scanning electron microscopy (SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and N2 adsorption-desorption were used for catalyst characterization. And the preparation conditions of nanocomposite catalyst were investigated. The photocatalytic activities of prepared nanocomposites were investigated by the degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) dye wastewater under the illumination of UV and visible light, respectively. The results showed that the particle size of nanocomposite catalyst with β-CD template was smaller, and the decoloration rate of Pr-TiO2 nanocomposite formed by the above method was more than 92% and 97% under UV and visible light irradiation, respectively.Compared with the photocatalytic performance of TiO2,they exhibited high activity.
