Spreading performance of silver-based ink droplets on sodium periodate modified cotton fabric
The sodium periodate for selective oxidation modification of cotton fabric was selected and the spreading performance of silver-based ink droplets on its surface was investigated. The research results indi-cated that the oxidation of sodium periodate increased the hydrophobicity of the cotton fabric surface, thereby shortening the spreading time of silver-based ink droplets and reducing the spreading area.In addition, due to the oxidation of sodium periodate, the surface roughness of cotton fabrics increased, resulting in a decrease in the roundness of ink droplets spreading. The higher the speed of ink droplets move, the shorter the spreading time on the fabric, and the spreading area and roundness also decreased.
