A New Snake Distribution Record of Hebius vibakari in Jiangsu Province,China
Five snake specimens were collected at Nanjing Tangshan(32°3′59″ N,119°1′2″ E;Alt.179 m)and Jurong Baohua Mountain(32°7′40″ N,119°5′33″ E;Alt.288 m)in Ningzhen Mountain Range of Jiangsu Province from July to September 2022.The specimens were identified as Hebius vibakari(Boie,1826)(Natricidae,Hebius)based on morpho-logical comparison and molecular phylogenetic analysis.H.vibakari is a new record of snake distribution in Jiangsu Prov-ince and also the first discovery of this species in the south region of Yangtze River.
