Analysis for Single Support and Dual Support Crankshaft Structure in Piston Compressors
Single support and dual support are two important crankshaft structures in small type piston compressors. In this paper, the effects of the two structures and their parameters on crankshaft force and friction power have been analyzed with the method of theo-retical analysis, simulations, and experiment verifications. The results show that the crankshaft force of dual support structure is better than single support structure. For the single support structure, increasing the distance of L and decreasing the distance of X will be effective to reduce the crankshaft force and friction power. For the dual support structure, the friction force and friction power mainly depends on the connecting force on the crankshaft and the processing level of the compressor. If the processing level is high, the friction power of the dual support structure is less than the single support structure.
