Research on Influence Law of Rotor Structural Parameters on Performance of Twin Screw Compressor
In order to maximize the performance of twin-screw compressor, the 5-6 teeth rotor profile was taken as the research object, and the influence of the rotor structure parameters such as the length-diameter ratio, the inter-tooth clearance, the torsion angle of the rotor on the performance of the twin-screw compressor was analyzed. The research results show that when the meshing gap is between 0.02 mm~0.1 mm,when the meshing gap increases by 0.02 mm,the volumetric efficiency decreases by 3%~4%,the adiabatic efficiency decreases by 1.5%~2.4%,and the specific power decreases by 33%~48%,the effect of the tooth tip clearance on the performance of twin-screw compressor is greater than that of the meshing clearance. As the length-diameter ratio(L/D)increases,the volumetric efficiency increases by 2%~7%,and the specific power increases by 40%~70%,the adiabatic efficiency is increased by 1.5%~5%,with the increase of the torsion angle value, the volumetric efficiency, specific power and adiabatic efficiency all tend to decrease. In this study, the influence of rotor structure design parameters on mass flow, volume flow, and Blow-hole area(leak triangle)was further explored. The results of this study can provide a theoretical reference for the design, research and optimization of twin-screw compressors.
