Transient Simulation Analysis of Dry Screw Air Compressor
In Marine LNG carriers,low temperature screw compressor is important equipment in the process of natural gas compression,recovery and storage & transportation.In the process of natural gas recovery and compression,multistage compression is generally adopted.For the second stage screw compressor,the performance of compressor is estimated and the improvement direction is proposed by numerical simulation.Using the Simerics MP+,the rotor movement grid of screw compressor was established,and the flow,internal pressure and temperature distribution of compressor were simulated and analyzed.The results show that the designed screw compressor needs to reduce the dead volume of rotor in the exhaust end face,and the bilateral suction structure of compressor needs to be further optimized.
