Analysis of the research status, problems and prospects of rock-soil composite slope
In recent years, the frequent occurrence of slope failures has brought the issue of slope problems to the forefront of widespread public concern, and rock-soil composite slopes, being a more complex type of slope, pose a greater potential for danger. To clarify the current status and existing issues in research on rock-soil composite slopes, the rock-soil composite slopes were summarized comprehensively as unique geological formations for the first time.By reviewing recent accidents and the development history of rock-soil composite slopes in China, the current research status of stability analysis methods, deformation failure mechanisms and slope prevention of rock-soil composite slopes were expounded.Additionally, some crucial scientific problems that urgently need to be addressed in this field were summarized, serving as a fundamental basis for further investigation into the trajectory. The study indicated that the deformation and failure mechanisms of rock-soil composite slopes are complex and comprehensive.Currently, the field still lacks comprehensive systematic research and well-developed theories, with several crucial scientific problems to be resolved. Therefore,it is necessary to conduct further studies on more focused theoretical methods, failure mechanisms and analysis techniques for rock-soil composite slopes.Meanwhile,by combining multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary theoretical methods, innovative systematic research approaches and sophisticated intelligent analysis techniques, some key scientific problems that currently exist can be addressed gradually. This can effectively guide engineering practices, simplify the analysis process, reduce governance costs, improve the ecological environment, and significantly decrease the occurrence of slope accidents. As a result,it promotes the prevention and control of special geological slope disasters. This paper is intended to provide a basic references and guidance for the rock-soil composite slope.
