Study on the stability of waste dump slopes based on the strength reduction finite element method
Taking the slope of Liwu waste dump in Dabaoshan Mine as the background,a method was established to accurately evaluate the stability of the current waste dump. The strength reduction finite element method was used to analyze the stability of the slope in the waste dump.Firstly,a targeted numerical calculation scheme for the stability of the Liwu waste dump slope was formulated using the Strength Reduction Finite Element Method. This involved constructing relevant three-dimensional numerical calculation models and setting numerical calculation parameters.Next, the stress, displacement and three-dimensional distribution characteristics of the designed slope and the current slope of the waste dump were simulated and analyzed. Finally,a comparative analysis of the stability of the designed slope and the current slope of the waste dump was conducted, and the stability of the current slope was established. The study revealed that the stress distribution pattern in the current waste dump was consistent with the designed waste dump, showing an increase in stress with depth, and both exhibited extensive plastic zones. However, the stress and plastic zone in the current waste dump were smaller than those in the designed waste dump, indicating good stability of the current waste dump. The research results have important reference significance for the stability evaluation and safety control of waste dump.
