Leaching and Kinetics Characteristics of Uranium from Hadatu Uranium Ore in Inner Mongolia by Acid Method
The characteristics and kinetic mechanism of uranium leaching from Hadatu uranium ore in Inner Mongolia under different acidity conditions were discussed through laboratory acid column leaching test. The mineral composition of uranium ore,the pH value,Eh value, uranium concentration, leaching speed, leaching rate by liquid meter and slag meter, and acid consumption per ton of ore and uranium were systematically analyzed. On this basis, the kinetic mechanism of leaching was fitted. The results show that the carbonate content of uranium ore(0.58%)and clay mineral content(10.20%)meet the requirements of acid leaching process. The average uranium concentration is 33.13-47.27 mg/L,the leaching rate by slag is 93.06%-95.43%and the acid consumption per ton of uranium is 37.78-95.49 t,which meet the key indexes of the feasibility of acid leaching.Under the condition acidity of 10 g/L,the leaching rate of uranium ore by liquid meter and slag meter is 88.20%and 95.43%respectively,and the acid consumption per ton of uranium is only 37.78 t.Considering the best leaching benefit and economic cost, the acidity of the test site should be 10 g/L.When the acidity is greater than 10 g/L,the leaching kinetics conforms to the mixing control model, while when the acidity is less than or equal to 10 g/L,the leaching kinetics conforms to the chemical reaction control model.
