Experimental Study on Optimization of Flotation Quality Improvement of a Shanxi Bauxite under Coal by Response Surface Methodology
In order to develop and utilize a high-sulfur bauxite under coal in Shanxi Province,a reverse flotation desulfurization and decarburization test was carried out on the basis of ore properties study to achieve the goal of eliminating impurities and improving quality.Under the condition that the grinding fineness of-0.074 mm is 70.12%,and the flotation pH value is 8.5.The optimal reagent regime of reverse flotation optimized by the Box Behnken of Design-Expert software is 27.48 g/t copper sulfate,154.33 g/t butyl xanthoxanthate and 45.11 g/t terenol oil.Under the above conditions, the actual test yield is 90.14%.The aluminum concentrate with 0.39% sulfur content is basically consistent with the predicted result of fitting equation(yield of 90.25%,sulfur content of 0.40%).After the raw ore is treated by a locked-cycle flotation process of "one rough, one cleaning and three scavenging" after selecting the optimized conditions,an aluminum concentrate with yield of 97.32%,S content of 0.32% and C content of 0.15% and a sulfur concentrate with yield of 2.68% and S content of 35.77% are obtained, which realizes a comprehensive utilization of the under-coal bauxite.
