Influence of Unburned Coal Powder on Fluidity of Blast Furnace Slag
Pulverized coal injection technology is the main way to reduce the production cost of iron making and optimize the operation of blast furnace.Under the condition of high coal injection ratio, the residual carbon particles that are not burned out in the tuyere raceway enter the charge column in the form of unburned coal powder, and too much unburned coal powder will adversely affect the performance of slag in order to study the influence of unburned coal powder on the fluidity of blast furnace slag,X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscope and energy spectrum analyzer were used to study the state of unburned coal powder in the slag and its influence on slag performance. The results show that the coal powder particles are uniformly distributed in the slag. The relationship between slag viscosity and temperature before and after adding unburned coal powder satisfies the Arrhenius equation, and the viscosity value shows an increasing trend with the decrease of temperature. With the increase of the mass fraction of unburned coal powder solid particles, the slag viscosity showed a linear increase trend, and the more unburned coal powder content in the slag, the more obvious the influence of rotation speed on the viscosity of heterogeneous melt.
