Effect of Salt Environment on Properties of Damaged Carbon Fiber Composites
In this paper, the properties of T700 carbon fiber/epoxy resin matrix composites with pore damage were studied after aging in salt solution with different concentration, time and temperature, and the failure mechanism was analyzed. The mass change,SEM microstructure, glass transition temperature, infrared spectrum analysis and open hole tensile properties of the samples were analyzed after soaking in salt solution. The results show that the concentration of the salt solution has little effect on the properties of the material, while the aging time and temperature of the salt solution have more obvious effect on it.With the increase of temperature and time, the faster the moisture absorption rate, the greater the decrease of the glass transition temperature, the more serious the damage of the specimen morphology, the damage of the interface between the fiber and the matrix, and the open hole tensile strength.
