Influence of Coarse Crystal Structure of Aluminum Extruded Profiles on Welding Quality
In this study,MIG,FSW and TIG are used to weld 7108 aluminum alloys with different coarse-layer thickness, and the welding joints are tested for low and high cross section and mechanical properties. The results show that the internal quality and mechanical properties of welded joints decrease with the increase of coarse-layer thickness, and the effect of coarse-layer thickness on weld quality is greater than that of friction stir welding due to the serious grain growth caused by heat input in fusion welding.
