Effect of Solution Heating Rate on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of 7020 Aluminum Alloy
In order to observe the effects of different solution heating rates on the microstructure and mechanical properties of 7020 aluminum alloy,DTA,optical microscope and tensile test are used in this paper. The results show that different solution heating rates have little effect on the grain size of 7020 aluminum alloy, but when the solution rate is 250 ℃/h,there is a small amount of linear phase in the matrix besides the granular phase, and the mechanical properties of the alloy after aging treatment are the lowest. After solid solution at a heating rate of 100 ℃/h and aging at 140 ℃×16 h,the T6 state tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation are 327.2 Mpa,204.2 Mpa,and 19.4%,respectively,with the lowest absolute values of strength for different orientations.
