Effect of Furnace Cooling Temperature on Microstructure and Tensile Properties of TA10 Titanium Alloy
In this paper,TA10 titanium alloy is cooled with furnace at different temperatures. The effects of furnace cooling temperature on the microstructure and tensile properties of TA10 titanium alloy are studied by means of optical microscope, scanning electron microscope and room temperature tensile properties test. The results show that the furnace cooling temperature will affect the content of primary α phase and secondary α phase in the microstructure. With the increase of furnace cooling temperature, the content of primary α phase decreases, the content of secondary α phase increases, and the strength of the alloy increases, but the plasticity decreases with the increase of furnace cooling temperature. When the furnace cooling temperature is in the two-phase region, the micro-morphology of the tensile fracture is composed of a large number of equiaxed dimples. When the furnace cooling temperature is in the single-phase region, the fracture morphology is mainly rock-like.In the process of increasing the furnace cooling temperature, the number of micro-cracks in the fracture morphology increases, and tear ridges appear.
