Cause Analysis and Control of Weld Inclusion Defect in Titanium Welded Pipe
In this paper,metallographic microscope,scanning electron microscope and energy spectrum are used to analyze the defect structure and composition of the welding pass.The results show that the inclusion defects can be observed in the longitudinal direction of the weld,and the impurity elements such as carbon,oxygen and tungsten are distributed in the defect area.The reason for this type of defect is that after the surface attachment of the tungsten tip accumulates to a certain amount,it falls into the weld pool,causing arc fluctuations and forming defects.The defects can be reduced by improving the surface cleanliness of titanium strip,increasing the frequency of grinding tungsten tip and increasing the argon flow rate of welding gun.
