An Experimental Study on Flotation of Oxidized Gold Ore with New High Efficiency Activator
The properties of the high-oxidation,low-grade tailings processed by a flotation plant are extremely complex. The original ore has a gold grade of 0.9 g/t,an oxidation rate of 75%to 80%,and contains a sig-nificant proportion of clay, making flotation recovery challenging, resulting in both concentrate grade and recov-ery rate being subpar. In order to substantially improve the concentrate grade and recovery rate of gold, thereby achieving increased economic benefits,an experiment on novel high-efficiency activators was conducted. The results demonstrated that the new high-efficiency activator could effectively suppress slimes and activate gold minerals.By adding an appropriate amount of this new activator in the actual flotation concentration process, the grade and recovery rate of the gold concentrate were effectively improved, yielding considerable economic bene-fits.
