Abstract
This paper describes the technological process of industrial silicon production,expounds the current production dominated by small furnace type,low degree of automation,simple environmental protection meas-ures and high energy consumption in the industry as well as introduces advanced emerging technologies in recent years such as large-scale submerged arc furnace,rotary material distribution in furnace,automatic hole open-ing and plugging,flue gas treatment,fixed point casting and closed circulating and provides some possible de-velopment trends in the future.
