Experimental Research on Tailings Comprehensive Utilization and Backfill Proportion Optimization
To promote the comprehensive recovery and utilization of tailings, resolve the challenges associated with surface storage of tailings, and achieve the goal of a"tailings-free mine,"this study, set against the backdrop of a gold mine in Shandong, examines and analyzes the mineral composition and particle size distribution of tailings. It establishes a collaborative processing technique route for the extraction of feldspar minerals and the filling of fine tailings.Through the undertaking of tailings re-selection experi-ments and the design of re-selection processes,a high-quality feldspar concentrate with a whiteness of 54.15% and an Fe2O3 content of 0.212%was obtained through fine screening and strong magnetic separation for impurity removal, with an anticipated economic benefit of 58 million yuan. The study investigates the influence of the fine tailings filling ratio on its strength and setting time,opti-mally selecting a filling ratio scheme of P·O42.5 cement,a concentration of 63%,and a minimum ash-to-sand ratio of 1∶8.It pro-poses the addition of water-reducing agents and the study of paste filling processes as methods to increase the filling concentration. The conclusions of this research may serve as a reference for the comprehensive recovery and utilization of tailings and filling design for similar gold mines.
