Stability Analysis of Dump in Area Affected by Open Pit Blasting
The stability analysis of the slope under natural conditions, rainstorm conditions, earthquake conditions and blasting condi-tions is carried out by using simplified Bishop method and M-P method respectively, based on the project of 115 m high secondary dump in a copper-molybdenum mine. The equivalent static method is used in both seismic and blasting conditions, and the vibration is equivalent to the horizontal force. In this paper, the explicit residual sliding force method and the implicit residual sliding force method are used to calculate the safety factor of the new and old deposit stripping along the interface and the interface between the stripping and the original formation as the designated slip surface. The analysis results show that the equivalent horizontal force of blasting vibration is much greater than that of earthquake. It is absolutely necessary to properly reduce the slope slope in the area af-fected by blasting.
