Simultaneous Determination of 12 Impurity Elements in Battery Grade Cobalt Sulfate by Using Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry
Twelve impurity elements in battery-grade cobalt sulfate were simultaneously determined by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry(ICP-AES)with low-temperature polyacid dissolution, and the selection of instrument parameters and spectral lines of the elements to be measured were discussed.Under the selected measurement conditions, the analytical method de-scribed in this paper is compared with the results of atomic absorption spectrometry, and the results show that the analytical errors of each element are within the allowable range.Through repeated determination of 12 kinds of impurity elements in the sample, the de-tection limit, precision and recovery rate of the method were investigated. The relative standard deviation of the method was less than 2%and the recovery rate was 98%~100%.Suitable sample pretreatment methods and instrumental analysis conditions were used. After repeated experiments, the suitable analysis conditions were determined, and the 12 impurity elements in battery-grade co-balt sulfate were effectively determined quickly and efficiently. This method is easy to operate, has high accuracy, and is suitable for promotion and application.
