Leaching Test of a Low-grade Copper Oxide Pillar in Congo
In this paper, the key factors to improve the metal recovery rate were discussed through the leaching test of a low-grade copper oxide pillar in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is found that suitable ore size and spray intensity are crucial to the effectiveness of column leaching process.Under the same conditions such as column height and spray time, higher leaching rates of copper, copper oxide and cobalt can be obtained when the ore size reaches-30 mm and the spray intensity is 10 L/m2·h,which pro-vides a scientific basis for the efficient utilization of low-grade copper oxide.
