Production Practice of Reducing Coal Coke Consumption in Large Volatile Kilns
This paper analyzes the factors affecting the production and operating cost of two large volatile kilns(Ø4 500 mm×68 000mm)in a newly built zinc project production base.According to the production practice, some improvement measures were proposed to control coal coke quality, reduce water content in leaching residue, refine kiln operation, and optimize the use of fuels from the perspectives of raw materials, blending, and stable operation. It has been proved that the improvement measures have reduced the operating cost of the volatile kiln, increased the recovery and utilization of valuable metals in the leaching residue, and provided a guarantee for the system's cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and stable operation.
